Have You Ever Dared to be Stupid?

50/100 Words

Thrifty Word Challenge 100: #23 and 50: #44 Idiocy

I was listening to my baby brother play Weird Al’s song, Dare To Be Stupid. At first, I thought of the 1986 Transformers movie. Then, I thought, have I ever dared to be stupid? I have my blonde moments, and I’m not blonde. I used to have my family and friends rolling on the floor while I pondered what was so funny. I remember this one time when I was having dinner with my grandfather, may he rest in peace, and my aunt and cousin, and the phone rings. I’m next to it, so I picked up the phone. I said, “Hello?” They asked to speak with the homeowner, and I said, “I’m sorry, but you have the wrong number.”

Maybe, there’s nothing wrong with being stupid unless you’re marching on the capital and smearing shit everywhere. Then, that’s really stupid. Why not put your lack of intelligence into creating the next dumb thing that’s going to make you rich? Apparently, nobody thought the bicycle was going to take, but now bicyclists have their own lanes in Manhattan. And do not get me started about Furbies. Someone was on drugs when they created that thing, but I know that my dumb ideas will just lead to people laughing their asses off, mostly at my expense. So, at least for me, I’ll stick to trying to be intelligent. How about you? Have you ever dared to be stupid? I would love to hear about it in 50 words or 100.

Please choose either the fifty-word or 100-word challenge, not both. See the guidelines for your chosen challenge below.
