Dirty Fighting

Holding onto the grudges for breaking a dreamworld

a small family inside a city
daily hustles endured
social presence, mingling
polished politeness,1`
a great couple, a happy family — outside,

inside
their trembling emotions shake in rages,
burdened with the failure of the couple’s broken sync

clashed interests, diverse possibilities,
bitter conversations,
life and contrasted goals
lost happiness, and angered clashes between the two

a war zone,
two enemies living into one den

and their 4-year-old kid
soaking all the harsh realities of the conflict,

her world,
embracing dirty truth
of ‘about to be broken family.’
an ugly bitterness to embrace, yet unknown to the kid

The thoughts that never been honestly expressed before
coming out with a heavy layered cover
to demolish the co-existence altogether

breaking
the
lives
into
pieces

and the dream-world of a kid
about to be shuttered for the dirty fighting stances.

I have seen numerous ugly fighting between couples that impacted the lives of their children. I certainly believe that as adults, people have the ability to let go of the unnecessary ugliness that their emotions brought in and can settle in a civilized manner. Holding onto the emotions (rages, grudges, etc.) to win the arguments and the fight ruins the possibility of a better future (& present) for them and their children.
