Humans are Violating The Theory of Struggle For Existence

The main goal of any species is to survive and endure. And we’re failing by accelerating climate change.

Lately, I’ve seen a similar theme of eyebrow-raising comments on social media and videos from climate change skeptics.

Years ago, it was more common to hear from climate change skeptics that climate change was a hoax. Nowadays, they’re acknowledging that climate change is real, but they claim that there’s no way of knowing the true impact on climate that humans have, if any.

What today’s climate change skeptics fail to realize is that by admitting that while they believe climate change is real, and yet refuse to do anything to actively slow or reverse climate change, they’re comfortable with the eventual extinction of our species.

They’re comfortable with the self-destruction (or destruction if they don’t believe climate change is exacerbated by humans) of our planet. They’re comfortable with the destruction of our ecosystems, our home, and our way of life.

Charles Darwin was best known for his work on evolution and the theory of “survival of the fittest”, published in On the Origin of Species. But the theory was expanded in a broader sense from the theory of “struggle for existence”, made famous by Thomas Robert Malthus.
