Different Types of fishing Charters in Galveston Texas

The first thing to do is research what kind of fishing trip you want to take. In Galveston there are really three types of charters to take. You can go offshore and target big fish, go to the jetties and target drum and sheepshead or go in the bays and target mainly speckled trout, red fish, flounder and seasonal species.

While doing your research you will find many options to choose from including a variance in types of species to catch, length of the outing and of course prices. Some of these charters are very seasonal and some you can take through out the entire year. Again doing a Google search will give you the answers you need.

Some best practices are to research some different local business under the local listings and check their reviews. Make sure you find a Captain or service with experience and knowledge. Call and have a conversation with the Captain and ask specific questions. Don’t pick the cheapest, you will get what you pay for.
