And not only the activists such as Extinction Rebellion and the very vocal teenager Greta Thunberg can tell us what to do other than “You’re Killing the Plant”. “Stop Killing Us!”
As a nation, Australia is directly responsible for 1.3% of the world’s carbon emissions. 1.3%! Nations such as China (30%), India (7%), The United States (15%) Russian Federation (7%) Japan (4%) and the 25 countries of the European Union (9%) contribute (72)% of emissions. In the case of India and China, as ‘developing nations’, they’re allowed to maintain higher levels.
