GIS Saves NYC and the man behind it

Who better to know about connections than a GIS professional whose very job is discovering them? But, weaving a thread through time from decades ago isn’t a typical geospatial connection, but this…

11 SIGNS YOUR UNHAPPY AND WHAT TO DO

Does your life feel purposeless and like it’s filled with more negatives than positives? I get it — I’ve been there, and it’s not a fun place to be.

But don’t worry! You can turn your unhappiness into happiness. The first step in changing your life for the better is to recognize where you are right now versus where you want to be.

Here are 11 signs you’re unhappy followed by what you can:

1.) You dread the sound of your alarm clock because it means you have to wake up and face another day.

2.) You always focus on the negatives rather than the positives in every situation.

3.) You constantly complain about everything in the world but don’t try to come up with any solutions.

4.) You surround yourself with toxic people who also are chronic complainers.

5.) You stay at a job you hate because it’s easier to be miserable at work than put in the effort to find something you do enjoy.

6.) You idly waste your time on social media and watching TV rather than spending time honing your passions and working on yourself.

7.) One “bad” thing (such as stubbing your toe in the morning) will ruin your whole day.

8.) You take everything personally.

9.) You allow the thoughts and opinion of others to dictate how you feel about yourself.

10.) You don’t believe you deserve more so you never strive for more.

11.) You feel like you don’t have a purpose or calling in life.

If this sounds like you, let this serve as your official wake up call because you’re now being guided to trade in your unhappiness for happiness, here’s how:

You are who you surround yourself with and if anyone is routinely making you feel bad about yourself or life in general, you need to let them go!

All of us our energetic beings living in an energetic world. We soak in the thoughts, ideas and feelings we surround ourselves with. Start your day on a good foot (even if you stub your toe!) and listen to something that will inspire and uplift your day!

Gratitude is a powerful force that is scientifically proven to help us feel better! And if you’re unhappy with where you are right now, saying thank you for the things you DO have is a great starting point to invite more goodness into your life.

Begin each day by saying thank you for three things, and watch in amazement as you suddenly find yourself surrounded by an abundance of things to be grateful for.

Don’t waste another second of your precious time sifting through social media and feeling bad about how “perfect” everyone else’s life seems to be. As you’re going through this transformation, allow yourself the grace and space to be separated from anything that does not serve you in a positive way.

You are the masterpiece of your life, and as such YOU should be your biggest priority. Set aside time every single day to do something you want to do.

Read a book. Take a walk. Craft a DIY project. Apply to school. Hone your passions. Explore your interests. Make yourself a priority.

Everyday before you leave your house, set small daily goals that are actionable and attainable. This will allow you to think about what you want, strategize for how you can achieve it and use your time wisely. And by the end of the day you’ll look back and feel productive and accomplished.

What’s more — goal setting will enable you to see HOW your using your time, and encourage you to use it wisely!

Xx,

Antasha
